Celebrate the Season with the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco’s “Naughty & Nice” Holiday Cabaret
For the first time in six years, LGCSF is putting on a holiday cabaret show—a little bit naughty, a little bit nice—at local piano bar Martuni’s.
Michael Reilly, Artistic Director of the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco (LGCSF), announced earlier this month that this December, after a six-year hiatus, LGCSF will be returning to its holiday cabaret roots for two shows at Martuni’s piano bar in San Francisco.
LGCSF began its winter cabaret tradition in 2006 with “Christmas Crap-Array,” which had a four-year run. From 2011 to 2012, the chorus returned with “A Shameless Show of Holiday Shite.” This year’s show, much as in past years, will feature an entertaining blend of familiar classics, new holiday favorites, and old songs with creative (and hilarious) twists. As director Reilly commented, “To paraphrase Mae West, “When we’re nice, we’re very nice, and when we’re naughty, we’re better!’”
Slotted to take place on two sequential Saturdays—December 15th and 22nd—LGCSF’s show will also include fabulous auction items and a definitely NAUGHTY carol singalong. It truly features something for everyone and will leave audience member in the holiday spirit—or at the very least laughing in their seats.
What audiences have come to expect out of every LGCSF performance, especially its cabarets, is pure entertainment. “It is going to be a memorable night,” said Reilly. “Full of laughs, chills, and maybe even a tear or two. We have some truly talented folks in our chorus, and this show is a perfect opportunity for their voices to really shine.”
“Naughty & Nice” will be performed at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15th and 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22nd at San Francisco institution Martuni’s, 4 Valencia St.,
San Francisco, CA 94103.
Tickets to “Naughty & Nice” are available online at https://lgcsf.brownpapertickets.com. Presale tickets can be purchased for $20; tickets will be sold at the door for $25. Dress up or come as you are, but show up prepared to sing!
