This is Jim’s second stint on the board. Jim joined the chorus in 2006 and immediately joined the board. He served as President until 2013. Jim currently sings in the Bass section. Jim sang previously with several religious and secular choirs and was trained in voice by Gundala Houff while at Wittenberg University, where he graduated with a degree in Cross-Cultural Studies. (Jim also has two graduate degrees in theology and the arts from the Graduate Theological Union.) Jim has a passion for philanthropy and serves as a member of several other non-profit boards of directors and advisory boards in San Francisco and around the country. Jim currently works for the City and County of San Francisco doing anti-discrimination compliance.
