ONE NIGHT ONLY - Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco presents their fall concert, Street Requiem, a moving 50-minute choral work by Kathleen McGuire, Andy Payne and Jonathon Welch, which remembers and honors those who have died on the street. Come experience what San Francisco Classical Voice describes as "a deeply moving and reflective work" that "aims to bring a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to communities struggling with homelessness, poverty, war, hate crime, and street violence."
“Our 40th Season is all about building community and we are looking forward to sharing this touching and important work with the larger community of San Francisco,” says LGCSF Artistic Director Michael Reilly.
Street Requiem was awarded a Judge's Special Citation for "dignifying the homeless through song" by The American Prize in 2015.
A portion of our ticket sales will benefit Larkin Street Youth Services. Larkin Street Youth Services is a nonprofit empowering young people to move beyond homelessness and is San Francisco’s largest nonprofit provider for young people experiencing homelessness.
